Financing Health Profession School

Financing graphicGoing to a health profession school can be expensive.  We encourage all pre-health students, regardless of financial background, to do their due diligence in researching tuition, estimated cost of living, moving costs, financial aid, fee assistance/waiver programs (for exams, application portals, secondaries, etc.), scholarships (some you may need to apply to once you have matriculated in your program), loans, and projected income during bridge time, if applicable, all as factors to consider.  Financial aid packages differ by school, so please contact programs directly for specific information.  Financial literacy is an important skill to develop, not only for school, but also as young, working professional.

The AAMC produces helpful guides to promote understanding of the costs involved and ways to approach financial planning.
